Why this project exists
Rankathlon also grew out of a particular period in my life. I am currently being treated for cancer, and I can no longer work at the pace I used to, but I have chosen to keep working. So I wanted to build a project that fits this period, and to give it meaning by making the fight against cancer part of how it works.
That is also why Cancer Fighters have a distinct status on the platform, and why a larger share of the amounts generated by that category goes directly to the fight against cancer.
How it works
Rankathlon collects the full amount of every purchase. A share of that revenue is allocated to cancer research, and transferred periodically. Every transfer is published on this page, with its proof.

Allocated follows the rule. Only a completed transfer counts as transferred — the two are never merged.
Beneficiary
Transfers go to the cancer research centre of the Gustave Roussy Institute in Villejuif, France. Rankathlon is not affiliated with this institution and does not act on its behalf.
